Summary

  • Recognize only bare closing code fences when sanitizing translated Markdown for MDX.
  • Keep HTML inside code blocks intact and convert HTML after a block to MDX-safe attributes and void tags.
  • Add a regression test for a language-marked fence inside an unlabelled translated block.

Validation

  • python3 -m compileall -q scripts tests && python3 -m unittest — 51 tests passed.
  • node --test tests/mdx-validation.test.mjs — 4 tests passed.
  • Read-only PlatformBackend sync preview — 3996/3996 translations current.
  • node scripts/validate_mdx.mjs /tmp/docs-terra-preview-fixed-20261101 — 4161/4161 pages valid, including the 17 previously failing translated Responses guides.
  • git diff --check — passed.
  • The optional mint broken-links CLI is unavailable in the checked-in dependency set; the repository's full local-link validator passed.

Release

Merge this generator fix before rerunning the Backend Docs coordinator for GPT-6.1 Terra. The coordinator will regenerate all managed pages and open a separate content PR. Rollback is a normal revert of this generator change.
